Grid5 is a London, UK technical company set up to provide technical services and commentary. Our primary work is in ad-hoc contract services, providing highly skilled development staff to work on projects in any market sector. Along the way we aim to create a voice in our blog to say who we are, what we stand for, and what we think.
Who is Grid5?
Grid5 is the technical services company run by David Burton. It has been born out of a desire to provide high quality development work to professional standards, and to make the most of experience spanning a wide ranges of technologies and industry sectors.
Our Services
If you wish to have any desktop, web or mobile development projects implemented, then we can provide skilled staff to help. Our key technologies are C#, SQL Server, Javascript, HTML and CSS - our 'grid'. Currently Grid5 offers a Tech Blog to outline some current investigations, reviews of recent reading, and so on.
Why another Tech Blog?
To focus on the tech scene in UK, and London in particular, from the coal face. With the notable exception of The Register (which is an excellent read), most of what's out there is largely US-centric, and most is written by professional writers rather than developers. It won't unfortunately do much to dispell the idea that it's male-dominated, though.
Aside from bringing a focus on the UK, the blog exists to contribute a little knowledge back to the community, so that hopefully others will find it useful.
