Who are Grid5?

Grid5 is the development services company of David Burton. David has industry experience stretching back to before the dotcom boom, and having worked in a number of sectors with a wide range of technologies, decided to offer contract development services supported by a network of contacts developed over years to allow completion of larger projects, and some artistic and administrative help.

Current Projects

Current work involves a financial information system reporting on data from an Oracle database.

Additionally, we're working on a number of side projects, including a mortgage comparison tool and a recruitment site. These projects draw upon experience developing data-driven systems to provide quick and easy-to-use tools which allow you to make decisions more quickly and efficiently.

Past Projects

A recent was a customer order tracking system with a MongoDB back-end to handle billions of records and allow customer retrieval of orders, support providing new targetted information, and to provide aggregation and analysis across Terabytes of order data. Development followed a formal SCRUM process, with continuous integration, automated testing and deployment and frequent deployments of enhancements.
